An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

School Bond Propositions Overwhelmingly Defeated In Carmel CARMEL, N.Y. -- By a large margin, voters in the Carmel School District rejected two bond propositions totaling $85 million. Proposition A, which cost $37 million, failed 1,430 to 810 while Proposition B, which cost $45 million, failed 1,512 to 719. Gas Leak Forces Evacuation Of Tarrytown Music Hall TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- Fans attending a concert at the Tarrytown Music Hall Thursday night got an unexpected intermission. A gas leak forced the evacuation of the Music Hall during a performance by the Mavericks. An officer was flagged down after someone smelled a strong odor of gas in the men's bathroom. Police and Con Edison responded and the music hall was evacuated as a precaution, according to Lt.
