An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Astorino: Name Airport Terminal After Former County Executive Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino is looking to pay tribute to one of his predecessors. Astorino is proposing to name the airport terminal at Westchester County Airport after former County Executive Andrew O' Rourke. O'Rourke served as county executive from 1983 to 1997. and unsuccessfully challenged Mario Cuomo for governor in 1986. He died in 2013 at the age of 79. Community Rallies Around Family Of Valhalla Teenager Struck By Train VALHALLA, N.Y. -- A GoFundMe page has been launched to support the family of Romi Therese D’Annunzio. D'Annunzio died Monday morning after she was struck by a train at the Valhalla station. Her death has been ruled a suicide.  As of Wednesday afternoon, the page has raised more than $34,000 from 340 people in one day. The page was set up by the Thornton-Donovan School where Romi's mother, Jeannie, is a teacher. The money will go to help the family with burial expenses.
