Police Respond To Report Of Two Overdoses At Yorktown Home A 30-year-old man was charged with violating an order of protection after police responded to a report of two overdoses at a home on Hitching Post Lane in Yorktown. Robert Chirurgi was charged with criminal contempt in the second degree, a Class A misdemeanor. He was arrested at the scene and transported to Hudson Valley Hospital Center for treatment. After being released from the hospital, he was transported to police headquarters for processing. Bail was set at $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond. According to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, homelessness increased by 6.7 percent over the past year. The statistics are based on a single night survey submitted by HUD in its Annual Homeless Assessment Report to Congress. Total homelessness in Rockland County increased by 20.6 percent. Baisley Wins Re-Election As Poughkeepsie Supervisor POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Jon Jay Baisley has earned another term as Town of Poughkeepsie Supervisor.
