Westchester-Based IBM Denies Reports Of Redeploying Some Staffers IBM, which is headquartered in the Hudson Valley, is pushing back on reports it plans to reassign 30 percent of its Global Technology Services staff through attrition. The Armonk-based company said the report, which said the company hired a consulting firm to help with the strategy, was not accurate and they don't comment on speculation, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal. The company, which is headquartered in Armonk, saw revenue decline .4 percent in its latest quarterly report, the 22nd consecutive quarter of year over year declines. Profits fell 4.5 percent to $2.73 billion.

The college in Southern Westchester broke ground on the $35 million Barbara Walters Campus Center Wednesday. The campus center is named in honor of the famed TV anchor, who donated $15 million.  The center will include the Barbara Walters Gallery for exhibitions of fine art and the Barbara Walters Archives and Reading Room. Cash is a seven pound Chihuahua mix who likes other small dogs and is good with kids 10 and up, the SPCA said. Cash is available for permanent foster due to a heart condition known as degenerative valve disease. This condition requires daily medication and a heart-healthy diet.  As a permanent foster, Cash's medical needs will be covered by the SPCA. Man Charged With Felony DWI Following Crash In Yorktown A 38-year-old Cortlandt Manor man was charged with felony DWI after a two-car accident Saturday afternoon at Old Crompond Road and Pine Grove Court. Giovanni Loaiza was charged with a felony because he had a prior driving while intoxicated conviction in the last 10 years. He was also charged with driving with a revoked license, a Class E felony and refusing to submit to a breathalyzer test. Loaiza was transported to Westchester County Jail and is due back in court on Jan. 16 at 6 p.m.
