A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Operation Aid Puerto Rico was launched Tuesday, a partnership between White Plains Lincoln, DHL and Senator Terrence Murphy. (R-Yorktown). Items should be dropped off at Murphy's district office at 691 East Main Street in Shrub Oak. The key items needed include flashlights, hand sanitizer, band-aids, first aid kits, disinfectant wipes, AM radios, baby supplies and anti-bacterial cream. Mount Kisco Naming Library After Former Mayor Residents in Mount Kisco will soon be checking out books from the Henry V. Kensing Memorial Library.The village board unanimously approved naming the library after Kensing, who served as village trustee from 1963 to 1967, mayor from 1967 to 1981 and village justice from 1990-2005. Kensing died in 2016 at the age of 83. A ceremony to celebrate the renaming will take place on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 2 p.m. Kensing was known as Mr. Mount Kisco and was a prominent fixture at public events. Rose Timourian, 104, Former Yorktown Resident YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Rose Timourian, a longtime Yorktown resident, passed away Saturday at the age of 104. Timourian was the daughter of the late Hripsime and Nerses Karagozian and grew up in New York City. After graduating from school she worked as a seamstress in the wedding department of the Bergdorf Goodman clothing store.  She married Krikor Timourian, a skilled embroiderer, and businessman in 1935 and they eventually moved to Ossining and then Yorktown Heights, where they lived from 1944 to 1968.  Timourian worked for the US Department of Agriculture, and later for the Yorktown Central …

Man Caught With Cocaine In Route 202 Stop, Yorktown Police Say YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- A man was arrested and charged with possessing cocaine on Route 202 (Crompond Road) following a traffic stop last week. Nelson Rozon, 44, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a Class A misdemeanor. Police said they initially observed Rozon driving without inadequate stop lamps in front of 3303 Crompond Road. After they pulled him over, they found him to be in possession of cocaine, police said. He was released on $200 bail and is due back in court on Nov. 2.

Kmart Employee Stole Cash, Gift Cards, Yorktown Police Say A teen employee who allegedly stole $275 in cash and gift cards at Kmart in Yorktown Heights was arrested on Monday. The 17-year-old, whose name is being withheld due to eligibility for youthful offender status, was charged with petit larceny, a Class A misdemeanor, for the alleged theft, which police say occurred over a week ago. The teen was released on $100 cash bail and is due back in court on Nov. 14.
