Motorcyclist Injured In Turnpike Crash A motorcyclist was hurt after crashing on the New Jersey Turnpike in Union County on Sunday, April 9. The crash occurred in Elizabeth on inner roadway milepost 101 around 9:45 p.m., when the motorcyclist lost control while traveling southbound on the turnpike, according to New Jersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan.  The motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital with non life-threatening injuries, Marchan said. The crash remains under investigation, Marchan said.

Bergen's Scottie Scheffler Finishes Tied For 10th At Masters Scottie Scheffler's time as reigning Masters champion is over.  The Bergen County native finished in a tie for 10th place at the Masters Tournament after winning the tournament last year. Scheffler shot a -4, eight strokes behind the winner, Jon Rahm.  Scheffler got off to a hot start at the tournament in round 1, but stumbled in round 2, carding a +3. North Jersey's Joseph Luongo, 33, Remembered As Loving Son, Brother Joseph Vincent Luongo, who died on Saturday, March 25, is being remembered as a loving son and brother, according to his obituary. Luongo, 33, lived in Pompton Plains and previously lived in Nutley, according to the obituary.  He worked as a boiler operator at Johanna Foods in Flemington, and is survived by his parents, Francisco and Deanna, and his brothers, Francesco and Valentino.
