Beloved Mahwah Music Teacher Fighting Cancer Again Sees Community Support Lynette Parks is once again in the fight of her life and the community is coming to her aid. The beloved music teacher at Young World Day School in Mahwah has been diagnosed with cancer. Parks previously beat cancer in 2019.  Parks, a mother of three, works at Trader Joe's in Wayne when she's not sharing her love of music at preschools in the area. A fundraiser has been set up to help ease her financial burden. As of Monday, June 26, almost $12,000 has been raised. 2020 Homicide Victim Finally Identified: Union County Prosecutors After three years, the remains of a woman's body found in Elizabeth have been identified, authorities announced on Friday, June 23. In June 2020, the body of 23-year-old Jasmine Featherstone, an Elizabeth resident, was discovered along the railroad tracks in the area of the 300 block of Port Avenue, Union County Prosecutor William Daniel said. An autopsy determined her death to be a homicide. Authorities were able to identify Featherstone using DNA testing, Daniel said. Man Stole Seven Packages From One Mailroom: Hoboken Police A 48-year-old North Bergen man was arrested and charged with stealing numerous packages in Hoboken, police said. Christian Porchiazzo turned himself into police on Thursday, June 15 after a weekslong investigation after they received multiple complaints of package thefts in the city, officers said.  Porchiazzo stole seven packages from a mailroom of a condominium on the 1300 block of Grand Street in April, police said.
