35 Bags Of Heroin, Two Handguns Seized From Trio In Secaucus: Police Three people were were arrested outside a hotel in Secaucus on Saturday, July 16 and charged with possessing two handguns and a large quantity of drugs, including 35 bags of heroin, authorities said. At 10:20 a.m., the Secaucus Police Anti-Crime Unit was patrolling the area near Extended Stay Hotel when they observed a drug deal, Police Chief Dennis Miller said. Police then stopped one of the cars involved in the drug deal and saw a digital scale used to weigh narcotics, Miller said. The Englewood native was defeated on the "Jeopardy!" that aired on Friday, July 14, ending his two-game winning streak. Through three games, Sopher won $27,202. Jersey City Man Charged After Bayonne Police Shooting: Prosecutors A 35-year-old Jersey City man who was shot by Bayonne police on Thursday, July 13, was hit with numerous charges following the incident, prosecutors said. Kelvin Ortiz is currently in custody at Jersey City Medical Center following the shooting, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Man Charged In Fatal Jersey City Shooting: Prosecutors Anton Mair, a 28-year-old Jersey City man was arrested on Thursday, July 13 for the fatal shooting of Khalil King back in April, authorities said.
