4 Employees Busted Selling Minors E-Cigarettes At Long Island Businesses, Police Say Over the span of about three hours, four employees at four separate shops on Long Island were arrested for allegedly selling vape products to minors, with police confiscating thousands of illegal products, authorities said. Man Threatens Officer With Assault Rifle on Long Island, Police Say A Long Island man is accused of threatening to harm a police officer with an assault rifle, authorities said. A Nassau County Police sergeant phoned Donald Schreiner, aged 34, of Oceanside, at 8:35 p.m. on Thursday, March 30 to follow up on a complaint Schreiner had submitted, according to police. Over the phone, Schreiner allegedly threatened to harm the officer with an assault rifle he owned. Officers then responded to Schreiner’s home and arrested him without incident. Long Island Man Sold Fentanyl-Laced Pills To Undercover Cop, Jury Finds A Long Island man was convicted by a jury of his peers for selling pills laced with fentanyl at an LIRR train station. Anthony Alexander, age 57, of Deer Park, was found guilty Thursday, March 30, of selling the opioid-laced pills under the guise that they were oxycodone, the Suffolk County DA said. Alexander sold what he said were oxycodone pills to an undercover investigator two times in January 2022. Long Island Sheriff Employee Flees Scene Of Crash, Files False Report: DA A civilian mechanic employed by a Long Island sheriff's office was indicted for allegedly leaving the site of a car crash he caused with a company vehicle and falsely reporting the crash later, authorities said. Brian Sloan, age 57, was driving a truck owned by the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office, his employer, on December 23, 2022, at the time of the accident, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney. Long Island Man Admits Killing 22-Year-Old, Strangling Second Woman Nearly two years after a woman was found dead at a Long Island home, her killer has confessed and admitted to strangling a second woman. Darren Mansfield, age 23, of Bay Shore, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter and strangulation on Wednesday, March 29, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney.
