Van Bursts Into Flames In Hudson Valley: Photos A vehicle fire in the Hudson Valley prompted a quick response from firefighters and left a van almost completely engulfed in flames. The fire happened on Thursday afternoon, June 29 in Putnam County on Route 311 in the town of Patterson at Maple Avenue, according to the Patterson Fire Dept. No.1. Fire officials said that no injuries resulted from the blaze. Crews remained at the scene of the fire as of 4:40 p.m. on Thursday. The cause of the fire was not released by authorities.

New Update: Pilot Injured After Small Aircraft Crashes Near School In Mohegan Lake This story has been updated. A pilot was injured after a single-manned aircraft crashed on the grounds of a school in Northern Westchester. 22-Year-Old Man Charged With Sex Abuse, Attempted Rape In Bedford: Police A 22-year-old man was taken into custody in Northern Westchester and hit with sex abuse and attempted rape charges, police said. Bedford Hills resident Luis Encarnacion Urrutia, age 22, was arrested on Wednesday, June 28 on sex abuse charges, according to Bedford Police. Encarnacion Urrutia was charged with the following: First-degree attempted rape; First-degree sexual abuse. Alert Issued For 54-Year-Old Missing Woman With Ties To Norwalk Authorities are asking for help from the public in finding a missing 54-year-old woman with ties to numerous towns in Fairfield and New Haven counties. Melissa Tiefer, age 54, was last seen in Stamford on Wednesday, June 21, according to Norwalk Police Deputy Chief of Operations Terrence Blake. Police Cruiser Flips After Crash In CT: Both Drivers Sent To Hospital Two people, including a police officer, were hospitalized following a crash that left the officer's cruiser flipped on a busy New London County road. The incident happened on Wednesday, June 28 just after 9 a.m. in Waterford at the intersection of Richards Grove Road and Route 32, according to Waterford Police. Both drivers were taken to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital with minor injuries suffered as a result of the crash, police said. No passengers were in either of the involved cars. Person Hospitalized After Car Slams Into Pole In Somers A person was sent to the hospital after their vehicle smashed into a pole in Northern Westchester, snapping it completely. The incident happened on Wednesday, June 28 around 8:45 a.m., when firefighters in Somers were sent to Amawalk Road, where a car had crashed into a pole, according to the Somers Volunteer Fire Department.
