The prize-winning Powerball ticket worth $1 million was sold in New London County on Monday, July 17 in Groton, Connecticut Lottery announced. Debris Removed From Under Bridge In Bronxville To Stop Flooding A build-up of debris underneath a Metro-North bridge in Westchester had to be removed to prevent possible flooding, county officials said. As a result of storms bringing heavy downpours, a build-up of branches and other flotsam began appearing underneath the Metro-North bridge in Bronxville near Parkway Road which soon became noticed by residents. Van Fire Rages Next To Building: Smoke Seen Mile Away In Somers A raging van fire in Northern Westchester sent up smoke that could be seen by firefighters a mile away. The blaze happened on Wednesday, July 19 around 10:30 a.m., when firefighters in Somers were called to put out a vehicle fire that started around five meters away from a building. Fallen Tree, Broken Utility Poles Close Croton-On-Hudson Road A combination of a fallen tree and two broken utility poles caused a late-night closure on a main road in Northern Westchester.
