An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Former Miss NJ Runner Up Dating Champion Golfer Katherine Gaal has gone from Miss New Jersey runner-up to dating Mr. US Open. Gaal, who was first runner-up in the Miss New Jersey pageant in 2013, is linked to Matt Fitzpatrick, who won the 2022 US Open. Fitzpatrick also won the 2023 RBG Heritage Open on Sunday, April 16. When she's not hitting the links with the guy she's linked with, Gaal works for Commvault, a data protection company, in Monmouth County. Fitzpatrick seems thrilled to have Gaal by his side. Bronx Boy Charged With Bomb Threats At Kearney High School: Police A 13-year-old boy from The Bronx was charged with juvenile delinquency on Friday, April 14 for calling bomb threats into Kearney High School last week, police said. The boy has no connection to Kearney and picked the school at random, Captain Timothy Wagner said. He was charged with two counts of terroristic threats in the third degree, Wagner said. A summons complaint was mailed to his residence, Wagner said.

Inmate Among Three Charged In Linden Robbery Spree Police believe they have found the people behind two robberies that plagued Linden last winter. The Linden Police Department announced the arrest of Isiah Barrett, a 32-year-old Elizabeth resident, Daron Thomas, a 32-year-old resident of East Orange and Alfred Pierre, a 37-year-old Roselle resident. The three men were charged with first-degree carjacking and multiple counts of first-degree armed robbery for a robbery of a business last December and an armed robbery and carjacking in January, police said.
