Gunman Nabbed In Mass Newark Shooting: Prosecutor A 42-year-old Irvington man has been arrested for the Saturday, April 15 mass shooting in Newark that left one man dead and three others injured. Antuane Gregory was arrested and charged with murder, among other charges, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II said. Cory Beasley, a 43-year-old Newark resident was killed in the shooting. The New Jersey natives, who grew up in Wyckoff, debuted a new segment on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," on Tuesday, April 18. They sang their new song "Waffle House" in the Tonight Show stairwell with The Roots. The segment was appropriately titled "Musical Stairs." The Jonas Brothers recently appeared on "Saturday Night Live" wearing matching red and white jumpsuits to dance with Molly Shannon's Sally O'Malley character.

Newark Police Officer Hit By Car, Suspect At-Large A Newark police officer was struck by a vehicle on Tuesday, April 18. The accident happened at 12:31 p.m. at a gas station on the 200 block of South Orange Avenue. The driver reversed into the officer and subsequently fled the scene, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said.  The officer was transported to University Hospital with non life-threatening injuries, Fragé said.
