Pregnant Out Of Wedlock: NJ Supreme Court Rules Teacher Can Be Fired Nearly a decade after a New Jersey Catholic school fired one of its teachers for getting pregnant out of wedlock, a New Jersey Supreme Court ruled that the school was within its rights. The Supreme Court ruled on Monday, Aug. 14 in favor of the Church of St. Theresa in Kenilworth, which fired Victoria Crisitello — a second grade art teacher — in 2014, after she told them she was pregnant out of wedlock. Man Robbed Amazon Truck Driver, Stole Hundreds From Vehicles: Linden PD A 22-year old Newark man was arrested last week and charged with robbing an Amazon delivery truck driver at a bowling alley in Linden in June and for committing burglaries in July, authorities said. NJ Star Football Player Jameer Outsey Shot Dead A former New Jersey football star was shot dead over the weekend, authorities announced. Jameer Outsey, a three-year letterman at Franklin Township High School (Class of 2014), was fatally shot in Elizabeth on Saturday, Aug. 12, prosecutors said. Motorcyclist Killed In Jersey City Crash: Authorities A 35-year-old Jersey City man was killed on Sunday, August 13 when his motorcycle struck a Tesla, authorities said. At 5:40 p.m. at John F. Passaic County Rallies Around Softball Player Battling Cancer Sofie Stokes' toughest battles are usually on the softball diamond. But now she faces an even bigger fight. Stokes, a Totowa resident, was diagnosed with b-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia in July. She has undergone two surgeries and begun chemotherapy. Kentucky Woman Had Gun At Secaucus Red Roof Inn: Police A 38-year-old Kentucky woman was arrested and charged with possessing a handgun at a Red Roof Inn at Secaucus on Sunday, August 13, authorities said.
