Tenafly Teen Edan Alexander Believed Among Hostages Taken By Hamas A 19-year-old man from Bergen County remains missing, and New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy says he may be among the hostages taken by Hamas. Driver Who Blew Stop Sign, Struck Boy Faces Slew Of Traffic Violations In North Bergen: PD Police have charged the man who they say struck an 11-year-old boy then fled the scene earlier this week in North Bergen. Julio Seoane-Alamo, 57, was behind the wheel of the 2021 gray Ford Explorer that blew a stop sign and struck the boy at 76th Street and Hudson Avenue on Tuesday, Oct. 17, North Bergen police said. Jersey City Terminates Contract With Liberty Humane Society Citing Performance Concerns After 19 years, Jersey City is terminating its agreement with the Liberty Humane Society to provide animal control services. The termination means LHS must vacate its space at 235 Jersey City Blvd., at midnight on Dec. 31, Irene Borngraeber, the executive director of the Liberty Humane Society said. Two People Killed In Violent Night In Newark: Prosecutors Two different shootings killed two people in Newark on Wednesday, Oct. 18, authorities said.
