The crash happened in Ulster County Thursday, June 2, in Marbletown, according to the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators said a concrete truck was driving east on County Route 6 at around noon when it struck a bridge near the Gate House at Mohonk Mountain. Albany resident Carl Nantista died Monday, May 30, at the age of 67 following a “long, courageous battle” with ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease, according to his obituary. Capital District Man Sentenced For Sexual Contact With Children A man from the Capital District will spend decades in prison for sexually abusing a child in Albany County. Ronald Swartz, age 55, of Watervliet, was sentenced to 40 years to life in prison Thursday, June 2, after being convicted on two counts of predatory sexual assault against a child. Investigators said Swartz had sexual contact with a victim under the age of 13 in the Town of Colonie in 2007.
