Inmate Assaults Deputy At Hospital In Capital District, Police Say A jail inmate from the Capital District is facing a fresh set of charges after allegedly assaulting a sheriff’s deputy at a hospital in the region. Saratoga County resident Bruce Larrabee, age 24, of Ballston Spa, was arrested Monday, Aug. 1, for felony second-degree assault. According to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, Larrabee, an inmate at the county jail, kicked the deputy in his face causing physical injury. 58-Year-Old Man Killed In Single-Car Crash On Long Island A 58-year-old man has died following a single-car crash on Long Island. Police in Nassau County said he was driving in East Norwich at around 6 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, when he veered off the roadway near Northern Boulevard and Linden Lane. After leaving the road, the man reportedly struck several trees. Crews with the East Norwich Fire Department pronounced him dead at the scene. Police did not release the man’s name. Hudson Valley 39-Year-Old Accused Of Inappropriately Touching Minor For Months, Police Say A Hudson Valley man is facing criminal charges after police said he sexually abused a minor. Ulster County resident Brandon Ferguson, age 39, of Port Ewen, was arrested Friday, July 29 on a charge of felony sexual abuse. New York State Police said an investigation revealed that he had inappropriately touched the minor victim over a period of several months. Ferguson was arraigned in the town of Cairo Court before a judge released him on his own recognizance. He’s due back in the Town of Catskill Court on Thursday, Aug. 4.
