Man Illegally Dumps Grill In Woods, Then Resists Arrest In Yorktown: Police A 62-year-old man faces a variety of charges after physically resisting arrest following his illegal dumping of a barbeque grill in Northern Westchester, police said. The arrest stemmed from an incident on Saturday, July 29 around 4:45 p.m., when Yorktown Police were notified of a man illegally dumping a grill in the woods near Mountain Brook Road. Ramp Closure: Route Between I-684, I-287 In Harrison To Be Affected A ramp carrying traffic between two busy highways in Westchester will soon be affected by an upcoming closure. The closure will affect the ramp between Exit 1 on I-684 and I-287 in Harrison from Friday, Aug. 4 to Saturday, Aug. 5, according to the New York State Department of Transportation. The traffic interruption will last from 10 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Saturday morning, officials added. The closure is to allow for ramp maintenance. Commuters should use the posted detour to Westchester Avenue as an alternate route.

Swatting Incident: Hoax Shooting Call Prompts Police Response, Road Closure In Dobbs Ferry A fake shooting call that prompted a widespread police response and a road closure in Westchester is now being reported as a swatting incident, authorities said.
