The Pleasant Valley native, who graduated Arlington High School, was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 11th round of the Major League Baseball draft June 14. While at the University of Michigan, Lugbauer led the Wolverines with 11 home runs, 58 RBIs, total bases and had an OPS of .917, earning first-team All-Big Ten honors in his junior season. A new Marist College poll has Cuomo, a New Castle resident, beating his potential 2018 Republican opponents, including Donald Trump, Jr. and Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino by a two-to-one margin.
