Starbucks Opening In Elmsford Starbucks lovers will have a new place to check out in Westchester. The coffee giant has signed a 10-year-lease to open at 280 East Main Street in Elmsford. The 2,200 square foot store will also feature a drive-thru. The store is expected to open in the spring. The Starbucks is part of the Apex at 290 property, an 81-unit residential development.

Residents voted 486-294 to keep their police department Tuesday rather than entering into a shared services agreement with the county which could've saved taxpayers more than $700,000 a year. A three-story 70,000 square foot 80 unit building is being proposed on five acres near Phillips Hill Road. There will be 64 one bedroom units and 16 two bedroom units, according to documents submitted to the Clarkstown Planning Board. The Orange County Industrial Development Agency recently approved tax breaks for the $14.93 million, 93-room, 54,280-room Holiday Inn Express and Suites Hotel, set to open in spring 2019 at 599 East Main Street, according to the Times Herald-Record.
