An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Rockland Truck Route Implemented WEST NYACK, N.Y. – Rockland County Executive Ed Day joined residents of Doscher Avenue in West Nyack to mark the implementation of the Rockland County Truck Route. The truck route will allow the county to restrict heavy trucks to roadways able to handle that traffic. Clarkstown Purchases Property, Stopping Proposed Church Construction NEW CITY, NY - Clarkstown is getting some more open space. Supervisor George Hoehmann announced Thursday that the town will purchase 4.3 acres of property owned by St. Peter’s Syro-Malankara Catholic Church in an effort to prevent the negative impact on area residents, protect the town's wetlands, and preserve open space.
