Ossining Farm Competing For Nationwide Grant OSSINING N.Y. -- An Ossining farm is hoping to be the choice of voters. Fable is one of the farms competing in PRO * ACT's Cultivating Change grant program. A total of $75,000 in funding will be awarded to local farms with the most votes through Jan. 31. Winners will be announced on Feb. 5.  Fable is competing against more than 100 farms in 30 states for funding to invest in sustainability efforts and grow their overall capacity. The Ritz Theater, where Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz first performed skits as a duo has received $1 million in state grants as it continues its restoration. Safe Harbors on the Hudson hopes to have the theater open before 2020.
