Eisenberg, a sixth grader at Monhagen Middle School, has launched a sock drive for the people at the homeless shelter run by Helping Others Needing Our Resources. With his mother, Danielle, Logan would visit a gas station every week and encounter a man who would ask for spare change, who lived at a nearby shelter. Yorktown Woman Assaults Man With Golf Club, Steak Knife, Police Say A 59-year-old Northern Westchester woman was arrested and charged Saturday night after police say she assaulted and threatened a man with various objects. Nuala Ann O'Connor of Yorktown was charged with assault in the second degree, a Class D felony, and menacing in the second degree, a Class A misdemeanor. Connor assaulted the victim by striking him with a closed fist, golf club, and metal guitar stand, causing bruising and swelling on his face and body, police said. Mohegan Lake Man Punches Person In Face, Police Say A 22-year-old Northern Westchester man was arrested and charged Monday after police said he punched someone in the face during a domestic incident. Juan Nauta of Mohegan Lake was charged with assault in the third degree, a Class A misdemeanor.  Police responded to a home on Horton Road Monday night and said during an argument, Nauta closed fist punched the victim in the face and back causing injuries and pain.  Nauta was transported to headquarters for processing and was released on $1,000 bail. He is due back in court on Jan. 8.
