Car Collides With Telephone Pole, Two Kids Injured: Rahway Police Two juveniles were injured after a car crashed into a telephone pole in Rahway on the afternoon of Friday, June 9, authorities said. At 1:37 p.m., police were dispatched to New Church Street and Church Street on a report of a 2015 Honda Accord striking a telephone pole, Detective/Sergeant Douglas Botti said. The vehicle was occupied by four juveniles, Botti said. Two of them were taken to University Hospital in Newark, Botti said. The crash remains under investigation, Botti said. East Orange Constable Convicted Of Impersonating Officer: Prosecutors A 55-year-old East Orange man was convicted of impersonating a police officer and unlawful possession of a weapon, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens, II announced on Friday, June 9. Last July, Todd Thompson, who was appointed a constable in the City of East Orange, performed an illegal traffic stop near Newark Penn Station, using police lights he installed in his personal vehicle, Stephens said. A 28-year-old man is wanted by Newark Police after stealing his repossessed Lexus from an impound lot on Sunday, June 4, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. Inspiring Coach Sees Community Support After Shooting The Montclair community wants to help Coach Butter. Khalid Branch a.ka. Coach Butter was shot in the foot over Mother's Day weekend. MetLife Stadium announced Ed Sheeran's two shows, on Saturday, June 10 and Sunday, June 11, will remain on as scheduled. Newark Woman Fatally Stabbed: Prosecutors A 66-year-old Newark woman was fatally stabbed on Wednesday afternoon, June 7, authorities said. Police responded to the 200 block of Sunset Avenue and found Annie Gooden suffering from apparent stab wounds, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N.
