Man Charged In Hit-and-Run Crash, Jersey City Cyclist Injured: Prosecutors A 33-year-old Bayonne man was arrested and charged on Wednesday, Sept. 20 with hitting a Jersey City cyclist and then fleeing the scene back in July, authorities said. At 12:30 a.m. on Monday, July 24, a 64-year-old Jersey City man was riding his bicycle when he was struck by a red Hyundai driven by Joseph Emmons at Kennedy Boulevard and Terhune Avenue, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. $15K In Merch Stolen From Fairfax County Mall Seized From NY Theft Crew Three New York residents arrested and charged with running an organized theft ring and stealing more $15,000 in merchandise from retailers at the Tysons Corner Center in Fairfax County, authorities said. 'Rutgers Royalty': Basketball Legend Phil Sellers Dies At 69 Phil "The Thrill" Sellers, who rewrote the Rutgers Scarlet Knight record book and led the school to its only Final Four appearance, died on Wednesday, Sept. 20 at the age of 69, the school announced. Sellers is the all-time leader in points scored and rebounds at the school and captained the famous Final Four team that went undefeated in the regular season and was ranked fourth in the country. Orange Man Busted With Handgun At Essex County Hall of Records: Sheriff's Office A 44-year-old Orange man was arrested and charged after he attempted to enter the Essex County Hall of Records with a semi-automatic handgun in his backpack on Monday, Sept. 18, authorities said. Irvington Family Seeks Help After Losing Apartment In Fire Since Thursday, Sept. 7, an Irvington family has been left homeless after a fire that started at a gas station spread to their apartment.
