An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. Two Teens Arrested After Pursuit: Madison Police Two teenagers were arrested in Madison after they led police on a pursuit early Friday morning, Oct. 6, authorities said. Police observed a black 2016 Lexus sedan traveling on a dead-end street, committing several traffic violations near Park Lane, officers said. When encountered by police, the vehicle turned its headlights off and fled the area at a high rate of speed, officers said. Maryland Man Who Downed 11 Mimosas Before Fatal Crash Facing 15 Years: Prosecutors A 22-year-old Maryland man is facing prison time for downing nearly a dozen mimosas then getting behind the wheel of a car and crashing, killing a 62-year-old man, authorities said. Kevin Orihuela, of Rockville, faces up to 15 years in prison after being convicted of killing Germantown's Noel Powell in an August 2022 crash, the Montgomery County State's Attorney said. Did Menendez's Wife Get Special Treatment In Fatal 2018 Crash? AG Investigating: Report Did Nadine Arslanian, the wife of indicted Senator Bob Menendez, get special treatment by police after she fatally struck a pedestrian in Bogota in December 2018? The state's top prosecutor is apparently looking to find out. Bayonne Bike Burglar Hit With Additional Theft Charges: Police James Bostic, a 42-year-old Bayonne resident who was previously arrested for stealing a $950 e-bike was hit with two additional charges for theft, police said. A person reported losing their wallet last year and after viewing surveillance cameras, observed Bostic picking up the wallet and leaving the area, Bayonne police said.
