Ridgewood Rallies Around Crossing Guard Battling Stage Four Cancer Janett Balboa, a staple in the Ridgewood community, is facing the fight of her life. Balboa, a Ridgewood resident for more than 30 years who serves as a crossing guard and lunch aid in the school district, was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer at the end of last month and is undergoing chemotherapy at Hackensack Meridian Health. Jersey Shore Man Wanted After Arizona Pursuit Near Mexico Border: Authorities A Monmouth County man on federal probation eluded authorities in Arizona after engaging police in a vehicle pursuit on Tuesday, Nov. 7. At 9:56 p.m., police in Wilcox, a town in Cochise County, attempted to stop a 2023 Telluride that was driving at a high rate of speed. 'Friday the 13th' Mask Wearing Suspect Attempts Break-In: Verona PD A suspect wearing a "Friday the 13th"-style mask was one of two people who attempted to burglarize a residence in Verona on Saturday, Nov. 11, police said.
