Animal Cruelty: Long Island Man Charged For Neglecting Dog, SPCA Says A Long Island man has been charged after he allegedly severely neglected his 5-year-old dog. The Suffolk County SPCA announced on Monday, May 15 that Naheem A. Scafe, aged 31, of Amityville, was charged with one count of animal cruelty.
