Man Stole Over $18K In Euros From Car On Long Island, Police Say Police are searching for a man who they say stole $18,000 worth of euros from a car while it was parked at a Long Island diner. On Friday, June 30, the victim, a 38-year-old man, went to a bank in New Hyde Park to exchange $18,500 for approximately 16,959 euros, according to the Nassau County Police. On Friday, July 7 at approximately 1 p.m., Nassau County Police reported that a Hicksville woman received a call from a man pretending to be a bail bondsman.
