Before settling into the Hudson Valley, Zak! previously spent time in the New York Daily News newsroom and worked for hyperlocal digital news outlets on Long Island. He wrote sports for The Ithacan and The Ithaca Journal before taking his talents to the Pacific Northwest, where he served as the sports editor at the Shoshone News-Press until heading back east to work with Daily Voice.

Teen Sexually Assaulted Inside Bathroom Of Virginia Grocery Store, Police Say Police in Prince William County are on the lookout for a wanted man who allegedly sexually assaulted a teen boy in the bathroom of grocery store over the weekend. Death Of Inmate At Arlington County Detention Facility Being Investigated, Police Say An inquiry has been launched after there was a reported in-custody death at the Arlington County Detention Facility. Shortly before 8 a.m. on Tuesday morning, police and fire crews were called to the facility, where 55-year-old David Gerhard, of Hedgesville, West Virginia, was found unresponsive in the medical unit, officials say.
