The remains of a Centre County man who was the subject of a Missing Endangered Person Advisory last December have been located on his property, and no foul play is suspected in his death, authorities announced on Tuesday, Oct. 21.
Leon Bowman, 78, was found dead on Sept. 9, 2025 on his Curtin Township property, Centre County Coroner Scott Sayers said. Bowman, who was 77 when first reported missing, was identified through dental records and an anthropological analysis, Sayers noted in a release.

Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner confirmed on Monday, Oct. 20, that the human remains recovered from a shallow grave behind the abandoned Ada H. Lewis Middle School in East Germantown belong to 23-year-old Kada Scott, a former Penn State cheerleader and Miss Philadelphia Township winner who vanished on Oct. 4.
Krasner said suspect Keon King, 21, of Southwest Philadelphia, now faces additional charges of arson, causing catastrophe, conspiracy, and tampering with evidence, along with the kidnapping charge he was arrested on last week.

Josiah Ford, a 14-year-old Glassboro boy, is missing, police announced Tuesday, Oct. 14.
Ford is 5'9" and weighs 125 lbs., Glassboro police said. He was last seen at 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and blue sneakers, police said.
He has sandy blond hair and blue eyes, police said.

The search for an 11-year-old Brooklyn boy who has been missing for weeks has now stretched more than 300 miles north, where investigators are digging through a landfill.
Crews with the New York State Police and NYPD searched the High Acres Landfill in Perinton, southeast of Rochester, on Thursday, Oct. 9, for any trace of 11-year-old Jacob Pritchett, a State Police spokesperson confirmed to Daily Voice.
